Safari Lodge
Mowana, The place where the mighty baobab marks the
entry into the mysterious ways of the African wild,

Chobe River where the river god will reveal to you
the secrets of his watery domain, the Chobe Game

Spectacularly sited on the Chobe River, close to
Chobe National Park, yet easily accessible by air,
Mowana Safari Lodge stands at the point where four
countries meet.... Mowana is the perfect setting for
any Southern African experience.
104 luxury rooms with full
en-suite bathrooms and 4 suites - all rooms are
river facing with air-conditioning, mini bars,
hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities,
ceiling fans, mosquito nets and electric insect
repellents.
Facilities at Mowana include an
outdoor swimming-pool, set in a natural landscape;
the Serondella Restaurant offers the world's best
cuisine inspired by the many flavours of Africa and
Savuti Bar overlooking the ever-changing Chobe
River; the Boma Terrace for light meals throughout
the day and the pool heir; a guest lounge for
private entertaining; designer jewellery and curia
shop where momentos will remind you of your magical
stay at Mowana; hairdressing salon in a tree house
with a view of the river.
Conference facilities are available in the Batteleur
Rooms 1,2 and the Ntsu Boardroom for groups of up to
80 people (100 for cocktail parties). With state
of-the-art equipment such us: VHS video recorder,
video monitor, overhead projector, LCD projector, 3m
x 2m ceiling mounted screen, complete video
projection system, etc. Additional technical
requirements can he met by prior arrangement. Team -
building exercises such as game viewing, fishing,
potjiekos competitions, and volleyball round robins
are also available. Alternative dining venues are
available to groups at Mowana's own African village
or on the banks of the river.
Activities at Mowana include swimming, hiking,
mountain biking, tiger fishing, bird watching, game
viewing on a river cruiser or in open-air vehicles
with expert game rangers and trackers, night game
drives, breakfast and sunset cruises, traditional
theme evenings at the African Village, trips to and

Chobe Safari Lodge
Chobe National Park is one of the most prolific game
parks in the world. In the middle of the swampy
wonderland, Chobe Safari Lodge is a safari heaven
for any wildlife enthusiast. Here, visitors dine
bathed in the radiance of an African sunset in a
picturesque outdoor restaurant overlooking the Chobe
River.
Visitors to the Chobe Safari
Lodge have choice of accommodation, stay in the
lodge’s fully furnished bedrooms, or rough it in the
African veld at the Chobe Safari Lodge Campsite. On
offer is thatched rondavels with ensuite bathrooms,
air-conditioned twin-bed river rooms equipped with
television, phone and ensuite bathrooms, or luxury
safari rooms, each individually decorated and
finished with fine furnishings and satellite
television.
Chobe Safari Lodge offers its
guests a diverse range of activities, from game
drives in the Chobe National Park, to fishing, to
game flights, to tripping to the Victoria Falls or
the Okavango Delta for the day. Qualified guides can
also lead guests on walking and bird-spotting
safaris, or along the river to spot game from a
boat. Chobe Safari Lodge also offers visitors a host
of facilities including a swimming pool, a squash
court, an internet café, a beauty salon, a
conference room, a river bar, a curio shop and
fishing equipment. |

Chobe Garden Lodge
The Garden Lodge was built with the specific
intention of offering personal service to a small
number of guests. The lodge has eight bedrooms (4
doubles and 4 family size), each with its own
bathroom and private verandah overlooking the Chobe
River. We are truly a garden lodge. The combination
of unlimited water and constant sunshine allows
hibiscus, frangipani, bougainvillea, banana and paw
paw to grow in profusion. Guests love the garden and
the prolific birds attracted to the flowers and
fruits.
The lounge and dining room are
furnished in teak and wicker. All decor comes from
Botswana or one of the surrounding countries. Guests
have the choice of sitting inside under the thatched
roof or outside by the swimming pool.
Guests have the choice of either
a Continental or English breakfast. Our lunches are
a buffet with a choice of hot dishes, salads, cold
meat and cheeses. Dinner is a set menu, however, our
kitchen will happily cater for guest's individual
requirements. Generally, guests sit at one table,
which allows them to meet each other and often the
conversation continues well after the meal has
ended! The bar is upstairs and overlooks the Chobe
River. It is informally known as the Map Room due to
the large number of maps hung on the walls. |

Chobe Savana Lodge
Chobe Savanna is a luxury lodge, situated on the
banks of the Chobe River in Namibia, overlooking the
Chobe National Park. The lodge is constructed of
brick, wood and thatch and the guest facilities
include a lounge, with open fireplace and a bar with
180-degree panoramic views over the Chobe River
flood-plains. The lodge also has an open-air
swimming pool with a beautiful sun-deck.
The lodge accommodates a maximum
of 24 guests in 12 safari chalet suites made of
beautiful thatch, all of which overlook the Chobe
River and into Chobe National Park. All sites have
their own private porch, en-suite, air-conditioned
and fitted with a mini bar and overhead fan.
Children of all ages are welcome,
the only restriction is that children under the age
of 8 years are excluded from participating in game
drives. Early morning or evening game drives by open
4x4 safari vehicle. Sunset cruises on the Chobe
River or personalised guided cruises on one of the
smaller water craft belonging to the Lodge. There
are also fishing and guided nature walks. |

Muchenje Safari Lodge
Situated on the Western side of The Chobe National
Park, Muchenje Safari lodge offers spectacular Game
viewing away from the 'crowds' of Kasane. Privately
owned and managed, this intimate Lodge accommodates
a maximum of 20 Guests in comfortable Chalets
overlooking the Chobe floodplains. Each Chalet has
its own en-suite facilities with a shower, and mains
electricity.
The Chobe National Park is
renowned for its concentration of buffalo and
elephant and the late afternoon in particular,
provides spectacular viewing. Safari activities at
Muchenje Safari Lodge include 4x4 Game Drives, Boat
cruises along the Chobe River enabling excellent
Game and Bird viewing, Night Drives, and cultural
visits to local villages. Muchenje Safari Lodge
provides the most tranquil and hospitable atmosphere
of all the Chobe Lodges.
Facilities include a small
swimming pool from which one can watch the wildlife
grazing along the Chobe River. A pleasant lounge and
dining area and bar and a Camp fire around which the
tallest of stories are told over late evening
drinks.Game Drives are comprehensive, taken in open
Safari vehicles where safety is paramount. Imagine
the explosive tranquility of hundreds of elephant
surrounding you, or the excitement of a lion kill we
will intrude into their world whilst giving the
respect they deserve. |

Kubu Lodge
On the doorstep of the world famous Chobe National
Park, and only an hour away from the mighty Victoria
Falls. Kubu Lodge is an ideal place from which to
explore this fascinating region. Kubu Lodge is a
small, privately owned and run lodge on the banks of
the Chobe River, in Botswana's warm tropical
climate. Comfortable thatched chalets on stilts
overlook a shaded lawn that spreads beneath giant
ebony and wild fig trees to the river's edge. An
idyllic setting.
We offer excellent home cooking,
a bar, curio shop, game drives, boat cruises, nature
trail for bird viewers, and a private secluded
swimming pool, no phones, radios or TV and no 5 Star
prices. Kubu Lodge has eleven charming chalets, all
thatched and raised on stilts to give panoramic
views of the Chobe River. The rustic exterior belies
the comfort within; full en-suite facilities,
ceiling fans, mosquito nets, tea and coffee making
facilities and comfortable beds.
Facilities include restaurant,
bar centrally located in the thatched restaurant.
The bar commands a magnificent view over the grounds
and the Chobe River. The fully stocked bar, and wine
cellar, are open daily. For that little piece of
Africa to take home, visit the curio shop, full of
locally produced items.
